Hello, today i’m going to talk about the characters of Haikyuu!! Because, in the entries I just say their names, and is unfair to people that didn’t watched the series already, to read without knowing anything about the characters.
Daichi Sawamura (1): He is the actual captain of Karasuno, he plays as an opposite hitter, and he is specialized in receive and pass the ball. He is Sugawara and Asahi’s best friend.
Koushi Sugawara (2): He is the vice-captain, and the substitute setter, he has a calm attitude, and he is nice with everybody on the team, is like the mastermind behind Karasuno’s plays.
Asahi Azumane (3): He is one of the wing spikers, and the team’s ace, he have an intimidating look, but he is a goodie, sometimes is a little bit unconfident about his real skills.
Nishinoya Yuu (4): Karasuno’s libero, called by his teammates the guardian deity, he is a very energetic guy, and always surprises with his techniques, such as the rolling thunder.
Ryunosuke Tanaka (5): He is a wing spiker, he is described as a “yankee like” because he is always looking for fight and confrontation. He is the only one that works better when the team is under pressure.
Chikara Ennoshita (6): He plays opposite hitter and wing spiker, he is the most likely to be the next captain of the team, since he is like the most calmed and organized of the team.
Kazuhito Narita (7): He plays middle blocker, and is the main substitute of Hinata on the team, we don’t really know a lot about him
Hisashi Kinoshita (8): He is a wing spiker, and we have never watched him playing in a serious match, the creator of the series metioned once that he is thinking about make him quit the team.
Tobio Kageyama (9): The main setter of the team, he is always serious and he trust in his natural skills. His old teammates used to name him as “the king of the court” because he was mean, but he learned that being mean is not right, and to be a powerful player he has to play with everyone as a team.
Shoyo Hinata (10): He is the principal character, and is a really energetic guy. He is inspired to play, because he want to be like “the little titan” an old Karasuno’s player that was short, just like him. He plays as a middle blocker, since he can jump very high and makes incredibly quick spikes.
Kei Tsukishima (11): He is the middle blocker and the tallest member of the team, he is a serious person, and his only friend seems to be Yamaguchi. His play style is smart, and he is always watching and making strategies to counter the other team players.
Tadashi Yamaguchi (12): He is Tsukishima’s best friend, and the only one that is allowed to call him Tsukki, he plays as Middle blocker, but his main role is Pinch Server, is the only one of the team that makes a perfect jump float serve, one of the most difficult types of serve to receive.
That’s all with the Karasuno team members, later I’ll make another post with another bunch of characters because a lot of them are crucial to understand the next reviews!
